What if I can’t make my scheduled appointment?

To help us serve you better, we require at the latest a 24 hrs cancellation notice for all scheduled appointment. Please contact the clinic as soon as possible if you cannot make your appointment. We will try rescheduling you at a more convenient time. Click here for a copy of our clinic policy.

How soon can I get in?

In most instances, we can get you in right away (same day appointment). We operate a ‘No waiting list’ policy at Zenith physiotherapy and Wellness. We offer flexible schedule to suit your need.  Click here to schedule an appointment or contact the clinic.

Do you Treat Motor Vehicle Accident and Workers Compensation Board (WCB) claims?

Yes, we are contracted to provide treatments for claims through WCB Alberta and motor vehicle accidents. Click here for our comprehensive guide on all claim process.

What Should I wear?

It is helpful if you bring attire to change into to make your area of concern visible to the therapist. This may include a tank top and/or shorts. The clinic does have a limited supply of these attires.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring along your Alberta Health Card/Number, Extended Health Benefit information and other relevant medical reports you may have. If your injury is a WCB claim, it will help if you can provide us with your claim number. For Motor vehicle accidents, a copy of your claim number or motor vehicle policy number, information about your adjuster. Do not worry if you do not have this information as the clinic can obtain this information on your behalf provided you provide us with details of your motor vehicle insurance policy.

What Can I expect on my first visit?

Your therapist will take a complete subjective history of your specific injury, review relevant medical history. They will also complete biomechanical evaluation to determine the cause of the injury. This visit will also include initial treatment (unless treatment is not indicated) which may include education about the nature of your injury along with a treatment of the biomechanical injury itself. You can anticipate spending between 45 minutes and an hour on your first visit and 30 to 45 minutes on treatment dates thereafter. On your first visit, we ask that you arrive 15 min before your scheduled appointment time to complete the relevant paperwork. Click here to access the related paperwork for your first visit.

Will I be entitled to Alberta Healthcare Funding for Physiotherapy?

No, we do not have the contract to provide Alberta Health services funded service for now. We will be more than happy to do this in the future, should the situation changes.

Will my extended benefit cover the cost of my Physiotherapy, Massage or Acupuncture treatments?

Most extended benefit will cover the cost of the above treatments. Each policy is different and the extent of coverage vary depending on each policy. We recommend you check your coverage options before your fist visit. For your convenience, we do direct bill to most extended health benefit providers. Click here for our full guide on extended benefit and direct billing.

Do I need a Doctor’s referral to access Physiotherapy?

No; Physiotherapists are Primary Healthcare Practitioners so you do not need a Doctor’s referral to access physiotherapy. However, if you are seeking reimbursement for your treatment through some extended health benefit providers, they may request a Doctor’s referral. Check with your individual benefit provider if this applies in your case.
